Co-Ed Flag Football (BCS 6U)

For athletes and aspiring athletes ages 5 and 6

Teams are expected to be formed the last week in August, with practice starting in early September.

Regular Season is tentatively scheduled to run from mid-September to mid-November, with each team entering a playoff that concludes with Championship games in early December.

Games are typically at Manhattan Beach Middle School and Mira Costa High School, but may include other locations in the South Bay. (Other locations have included Redondo Union High School, Torrance West High School and El Segundo High School)

Practices are typically 4:00pm - 5:30pm or 5:30 - 7:00pm on Wednesdays, Thursdays or Fridays, but could also be Tuesdays (or even Mondays). These are only allowed at BCS-approved fields.

Coaches also may have an additional "lighter practice" (no flag-pulling) once a week, and sometimes takes the form of team film study session once a week.

Teams also typically have an hour "pre-game" an hour before each game.

Games are typically on Saturdays and Sundays. Teams typically have one game each weekend, but might have a two games on a weekend, for a total of an 8-game regular season.

Each athlete receives a customized team jersey with their name, and we try to accommodate athlete's jersey number requests, while trying to avoid duplicate numbers on the same team.
